NOVEMBER FILMS AT GALAXY THEATRES
Galaxy Theatres is looking forward to welcoming some very exciting films in the month of November at our 15 Galaxy Theatres locations and we’re here to let you know to mark your calendars! Let’s dive in!
Doctor Sleep is the sequel to see this weekend! Years following the events from The Shining (1980), a now-adult Danny must continue to navigate his special abilities and protect others from a powerful cult. Who else feels like they’re still recovering from the sinister events that occurred at the Overlook Hotel?
For a fun family adventure, we’d recommend Playing with Fire, because who doesn’t want to see a group of firefighters take on their most dangerous adventure yet: babysitting? Get prepared because this comedy starring John Cena and Keegan-Michael Key is straight fire!
For a more romantic evening, Last Christmas is the perfect romantic comedy between Kate and Tom and their holiday-filled adventure. The talented Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding are inviting you to the theatre for your next date night.
A more melancholic film to take in that same weekend will be Midway which highlights the battle of Midway in June 1942 that helped change the course of World War II. This all-star cast features Luke Evans, Patrick Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Ed Skrein, Nick Jonas, Dennis Quaid, Mandy Moore, Darren Criss, and more! Concurrently, we’ll be offering a few special Veteran’s Day Promotions in honor of our dear veterans and active military. With respect and gratitude, we’re happy to offer a complimentary medium popcorn from November 8 through November 11 exclusively for those who have or are serving our country. Similarly, we’ll be commemorating Veteran’s Day by giving out exclusive Battle of Midway lapel pins to attendees starting on Thursday, November 7 and while supplies last.
Make it a girls’ weekend because Charlie’s Angels is on the scene. Your squad could use a night out filled with wine and concessions galore! Grab your dream team and let’s cheers to sisterhood this weekend.
We can celebrate bromances this weekend as well because Ford V Ferrari, starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale, tells the story of an American automotive designer and a fearless British race car driver who band together to prevail against a competitor! Some friendly competition sounds just like what we need this weekend!
Waves is also arriving this weekend to take us on the emotional journey of a suburban African-American family – led by a well-intentioned but domineering father – as they navigate love, forgiveness, and coming together in the aftermath of a loss. Sterling K. Brown leads this family on a touching story about the universal capacity for compassion and growth even in the darkest of times.
Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen are taking us on a secretive journey in The Good Liar. This con man and recent widow explore manipulations, cat-and-mouse games, suspense, intrigue, and betrayal throughout the film and reviews have already glorified both performances. We can’t wait to hear what you think!
Whatever you’re holding onto, let it go because Frozen 2 is finally here! The adventures of Elsa and Anna continue when they venture on a journey far from their kingdom of Arendelle. Don’t fret, as we can confirm that Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven are accompanying our girls on their journey!
Another film to pull at our heart strings this weekend is A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Tom Hanks plays the iconic role of Mister Rogers. This kind and warm biographical drama will be just what we need to remind ourselves of what we need to be thankful for this upcoming Thanksgiving.
Chadwick Boseman stars as Detective Andre Davis in 21 Bridges. Authorities close all 21 bridges in Manhattan to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island when a pair of cop killers are uncovered to be involved in a massive and unexpected conspiracy. We can’t wait for these suspenseful events to unfold.
The two final films premiering during the last month of November will be Knives Out and Queen & Slim. Knives Out is the murder-mystery of the month and everyone in this dysfunctional family is a suspect. Although the film releases on November 29, we’ll be having an exclusive early access screening of Knives Out on November 22 and 23 at nine of our fifteen locations!
