How do I rent a theatre?

How is the price of my rental determined?
Theatre rental prices are determined based upon theatre and/or film availability, purpose of event and seasonality. The price quoted is specific to your request only. Rates and prices of rentals vary per location, time of day, day of the week, length of event, amenities and services requested, and number of guests.
What form of payment can I use? And when do I need to pay?
Galaxy Theatres accepts business checks , cash and money orders as forms of payment. Some of our theatres are equipped to accept credit cards.
No down payment is required for theatre rentals. Payment is due in full to the theatre manager on or before the start of your event.
What movie can we see?
First run (new) film selection is limited to current movies showing at the requested Galaxy Theatres location. Movies are subject to change based on release dates and availability. Film selection is not guaranteed until a minimum of four (4) days prior to your event. Some films may be exempt from the rental process due to studio restrictions.
Can we see an older movie that is no longer in theatres?
Yes. For an additional fee, older movies may be requested and can be reserved based upon availability of the print. However, depending on studio restrictions, not all films are available for private showings after they have left theatres.
Can I set-up my rental for anytime I want?
Galaxy Theatres is willing to accommodate your request and is usually able to schedule your rental time to suit your needs. Whether it’s before we open to the public, during our daily showtime schedule, or even after hours.
What is the most inexpensive time to rent a theatre?
During a weekday (Monday-Friday) before we open to the general public. During this time we generally are not required to cancel any showtimes and are therefore able to offer a lower rate than during operational hours.
What if I need to cancel my rental?
We require you to give Galaxy Theatres corporate office at least a 3 day written notice of cancellation before the date of your scheduled event.
Are there any other details I should know about renting an auditorium?
- Microphones can be requested for your rental for an additional fee
- Concessions can be included in the price of your rental
- If you are planning a presentation during your rental, you must provide your own Audio/Video equipment and technician.
**NOTE**
Not all films are available for auditorium rental viewing. Some films may have restrictions placed upon them according to their studios and/or distributor's guidelines.
